Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is partnering with Hinge Health to offer eligible members access to a 12-week, coach-led digital program designed to help adults proactively manage chronic back and joint pain. The program is available at no cost and requires no office visits, no copays, and no claims.
Eligible members will be identified by BCBSMA based on claims history for qualified diagnosis codes.
Please note: Hinge Health is an exercise therapy program and does not replace your existing physical therapy benefit. No claims will be submitted through this program.
The Hinge Health program is built around three core components, all accessible through the Hinge Health app.
Hinge Health offers programs for a range of musculoskeletal conditions, including:
Back pain: chronic low back pain and related conditions Knee pain: osteoarthritis, general knee discomfort Hip pain: hip joint pain and stiffness Shoulder pain: rotator cuff issues and general shoulder pain Neck pain: chronic neck tension and discomfort Women's Pelvic Health: bladder and bowel control, pelvic pain, pregnancy, and menopause
1. Get identified. BCBSMA will identify eligible members based on claims history for qualified diagnosis codes.
2. Visit the Hinge Health website. Once identified, eligible members can enroll directly through the Hinge Health member portal with no referral needed.
3. Start your program. Complete your intake and begin your personalized 12-week exercise therapy plan.
