BANKING ON WELLNESS

A Turnkey Wellness Program

We offer a turnkey wellness program that combines custom communications, built-in incentives for both banks and members, and a dedicated Health Engagement Strategist assigned to each participating bank. The program is designed to address common, modifiable health risks—such as prediabetes and unhealthy body mass index (BMI)—while minimizing administrative burden for employers.

Earn up to $1,050 back each calendar year per household

Reimbursements are designed to reward healthy choices across mind, body, and lifestyle.

Mind & Body

Reimbursements for alternative treatments and therapies, including massage therapy, meditation, and essential oils.

Fitness

Reimbursements for gym memberships, fitness classes, and eligible home fitness equipment.

Weight Loss

$400

Reimbursements for eligible weight-loss programs, including WW® (formerly Weight Watchers®) online and other non-hospital-based programs.

BANKING ON WELLNESS

Annual Bank Incentive Program

The program encourages preventive doctor visits and dental checkups, educational workshop attendance, improved nutrition, and participation in fitness challenges. By engaging in these activities, employees build healthier habits that can help reduce the likelihood of chronic health conditions over time.

Eligibility requirements

To qualify, at least 35% of subscribers must have:

  • Completed the Health Assessment or Well-Visit
  • Earned at least 150 points by December 31

Program components

  • Banks must be dues-paying Mass Bankers members and participate in the Group Insurance Trust medical program during the incentive year
  • Incentives are distributed after the first of the following year
  • Incentive amounts are calculated using January subscriber levels

Non-members are added via secure file uploads to BCBSMA's SFTP site, with a process that includes data validation and profile activation within three business days.
