Mass Bankers presents the 2026 CFO & Financial Managers Forum. Join us to discuss emerging issues and industry hot topics and network with other bank financial managers. This series of forums meets three times during the year. Each session will focus on two topics presented by industry experts. Participants will gain valuable insights on emerging issues and trends in the financial industry, explore methods to improve financial function efficiency, and learn best practices in bank financial management. The course ID for the 2026 CFO & Financial Managers Forum is C-2810. Banks with 50 or fewer employees can be reimbursed 100% for the program's cost and banks between 51 and 100 employees can be reimbursed 100%, up to $3,000 per person, per course. Erich Schumann
<p>Erich Schumann is an Adjunct Professor at Brandeis University, and the founding partner of Global Atlantic Partners LLC and Global Atlantic Partners do Brasil Ltda, where he leads the firm’s Governance and Risk Management practices. A Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, and CRISC credential holder, he advises clients on risk management, cyber risk, Blockchain applications, and smart contracts. At Brandeis International Business School, he teaches governance, risk management, and fraud prevention, integrating the latest developments in Blockchain technology.</p><p>With more than 30 years of senior management experience across Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America, Mr. Schumann has held executive roles including EVP and Chief Accounting Officer at FleetBoston Financial and leadership positions in Germany, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Brazil, and the U.S. He has served as a consultant and crisis manager, led major corporate initiatives, judged the Harvard Business School New Venture Competition, and served on the MassChallenge judging panel. Mr. Schumann is a Board member of Banco Popular Bank, chairing its Risk and Technology & Innovation committees, and is a longstanding contributor to the Institute of Internal Auditors through standards development, advisory guidance, and frequent speaking engagements. </p>

Frank Farone
<p>Frank consults nationwide with CEOs and CFOs of financial institutions to increase earnings through the proactive management of capital, liquidity/funding risk, and interest rate risk. He is a frequent speaker and author on topics such as industry issues and trends, funding solutions, regulatory issues, interest rate risk management, capital management, and derivatives hedging techniques.</p>
<p>Frank was designated a “top-rated” speaker by FMS and is well known for his popular seminar “Turbo Charging Your ALCO Process” having helped thousands of bankers across the country.</p>
<p>Frank is a graduate of Siena College. He lives in Winchester, Massachusetts and is an avid golfer and runner, having completed numerous marathons including several Boston Marathons over the past 25 years.</p>

Gary Evee

Jim Reber
<p>Jim Reber is the Managing Director of The Baker Group. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer at bank investment seminars and workshops. Jim also writes a monthly investment column for Independent Banker magazine. He is on the faculty at Barret School of Banking in Memphis, TN, and serves on the Board of Regents and a term as Chairman. Jim is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst, and is a graduate of Christian Brothers University, where he served on the Board of Trustees as Chairman of the Finance Committee and University Treasurer. </p>

Lauren Intinarelli
<p>Lauren is a highly accomplished global financial executive and board member with a proven track record of scaling for growth. As a classically trained financial expert, she specializes in financial risk management, business scaling, product development, and technology transformations. She has been instrumental in propelling organizations, from community banks to F50 giants, resulting in significant asset growth for clients. Lauren excels in strategic partnerships and client relationships, bridging finance, accounting, capital markets, and technology. She has experience supporting clients with global operations and a significant successful post-merger integration.</p><p>She is Managing Director and Hedging Practice Leader at CFGI, a portfolio company of Carlyle & CVC and the nation's premier non-audit accounting advisory firm. Prior, Lauren was with EY, specializing in strategic treasury advisory for F100 clients during transformative periods where she guided the financial integration of an Italian acquisition for a top-tier shipping and logistics corporation, spearheading technology upgrades for a $32B healthcare and consumer goods conglomerate, and managing organizational changes for an $8.5B healthcare spin-off.</p><p>With Chatham Financial Lauren held a decade-long tenure including as Director, Product Owner-Balance Sheet Risk Management, and Director, Head of Commodities. She led the P&L of a product line and created a managed services business across oil and gas markets, leading to a client's $1.1B increase in assets, and multi-million dollars in revenue.</p><p>Early in her career, she worked with Northwest Farm Credit Services, BDO USA, LLP, and Banner Bank. Lauren currently serves as an Associate Board Member at Direct Federal Credit Union, an $850M financial institution. She serves on the Advisory Board at Tacilent.ai, an AI software company. Previously she served on the advisory board of WSFS Bank, as a board member and chair of the audit committee with Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital Foundation, and board member, Treasurer, and on the M&A Committee Member JEVS Human Services.</p><p>She has contributed to industry publications including BAI Banking Strategies and American Banker, and she has been a sought-after speaker at various podcasts including American Banker, Corporate Treasury 101, and OnBoards. She chaired the Chester County Food Bank, during a critical period of succession planning during Covid-19. Beyond her professional endeavors, Lauren is an aspiring chef, avid kayaker, and traveler, embodying a spirit of continuous learning and exploration.</p>
