SLC Virtual Workshops - Emerging Issues and Hot Topics - A 3-Part Webinar Series

Program Overview
Mass Bankers and iVoice Communication present the Strengthening Leadership Communication Workshop Series. In this interactive virtual program, participants study emotional intelligence, executive presence, and psychological safety to strengthen their ability to connect and influence at all levels within an organization. The series consists of three 2.5-hour webinars in a small-group setting. Each webinar can be purchased and attended individually or as a comprehensive series as each builds upon the last.
What You Will Learn
Workshop I - Unlocking Connection & Trust
Communicating in today's business world goes beyond simply emailing a message. Today's leaders must be adept at connecting with others, managing change, and navigating conflict through both virtual and in-person channels. Participants will:
- Examine recent changes in leadership and business communication.
- Explore the elements of influence and trust.
- Recognize and manage stress while navigating change.
- Become proactive to and navigate conflict.
Workshop II - Delegating with Clarity
The art of delegating is one of a leader's most valuable tools. It helps a leader keep projects rolling, business churning, and enables them to grow in their position while strengthening others and driving operational performance. Participants will:
- Examine the primary barriers to delegating effectively.
- Assess the ability to delegate.
- Clarify and articulate positive desired results.
- Improve the ability to be direct and concise.
- Practice the process of delegating.
- Strengthen the ability to manage and mentor.
Workshop III - Creating a Culture of Empowering Feedback
There is a never-ending list of reasons why people avoid providing feedback. But avoiding feedback can be a disservice to everyone involved, including the organization. This workshop explores guidelines necessary to provide empowering feedback to employees, senior leaders, and peers. Participants will:
- Examine the detriments of not providing feedback.
- Review the common challenges of giving and receiving feedback.
- Encourage opinions and ideas (aka innovation).
- Practice the guidelines of empowering feedback.
- Improve the ability to listen.
- Decrease defensiveness.

Workforce Training Fund Program
The Strengthening Leadership Communication 3-Part Webinar Series is eligible for the Express Program as part of Massachusetts' Workforce Training Fund Program.
The Workforce Training Fund Express Program assists companies in addressing their staff training needs by providing access to grants. To receive the grant, banks need to complete a short online application to request grant funds. Grant recipients with under 100 Massachusetts employees may receive full reimbursement of the cost of training upon completion of an approved course, up to $20,000 per calendar year. Financial institutions with over 100 Massachusetts employees are now encouraged to submit General Program applications. The deadline to apply for the grant is 21 days before the program begins.

<p>Donna Rustigian Mac is the President of iVoice Communication, a company dedicated to creating confident speakers, successful interpersonal communicators, and healthy-human connections through updated, 21st century business communication skills. Donna works with leaders and HR departments who understand the power of people. As people expand, business expands.</p><p>Donna’s distinguished career includes 30+ years in communications: In the the media, as an executive communication coach, a workforce trainer, and motivational speaker. In 2018, she became a certified mindfulness teacher and is a qualified change facilitator (2021). Donna has studied with Dr. Daniel Goleman (Emotional Intelligence) and Dr. Judson Brewer, (Brown University/ShareCare). That concentration enables Donna to help people break old communication patterns/habits so they can update their communication skills and integrate them into today’s modern workforce.</p><p>Donna’s undergraduate degree is in Liberal Arts and Humanities. She’s also studied social and organizational psychology at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. She is a frequent guest lecturer at The University of RI, Salve Regina University, and Emerson College in Boston, MA. and is the author of Know and OWN Your Worth, To Be a Leader the creator of The Strengthen Leadership Communication Program.<br> </p>
