Program Overview

Mass Bankers and Performance Solutions, Inc. (PSI) are excited to announce the Universal Banker Certification program.

Today’s lean branch staffing models require that all team members are more knowledgeable, client-focused, flexible, efficient, and proactive than ever. Retail team members must be prepared to both serve the traditional client who visits the branch for transactional needs and the modern client who only contacts a banker when they need help addressing complex needs. This 2-day program focuses on the essential skills required for today’s Retail Banking, including problem-solving, advising, and proactively developing loyal client relationships.

Certification will be provided to participants who attend both workshops.

This program was formerly scheduled for May 8th and 9th and known as the Front Line Banker Certification Program. We hope the title change clarifies who is best suited to attend from your bank or financial institution.

Workforce Training Fund Program

The Universal Banker Certification is eligible for the Express Program as part of Massachusetts' Workforce Training Fund Program.

The Workforce Training Fund Express Program assists companies in addressing their staff training needs by providing access to grants. To receive the grant, banks need to complete a short online application to request grant funds. Grant recipients with under 100 Massachusetts employees may receive full reimbursement of the cost of training upon completion of an approved course, up to $20,000 per calendar year. Financial institutions with over 100 Massachusetts employees are now encouraged to submit General Program applications. The deadline to apply for the grant is 21 days before the program begins.

The Course ID for the Universal Banker Certification Program is #C-3859. Mass Bankers strongly urges you to complete the process as soon as possible to ensure that your application is approved in time. Her experience has been expansive to include successfully navigating retail and commercial banking careers. She has served as Division President, Market President, Chief Credit Officer, Chief Retail Officer, and Regional Sales & Service Manager. Christie has a B.S. in Finance from Berry College and an MBA from Georgia College and State University. She is a passionate facilitator and coach who strives to live the values and leadership strategies she teaches in her training programs.</p>
