Program Overview
Mass Bankers presents the 2025 Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Forum. We are reconvening these forums so leaders in technology can learn about emerging technologies, industry events and leading concerns in a complex financial services environment. Networking and connecting with your peers is another added benefit of participation in the CTO Forum. Sessions will be moderated by Steve Dorval, Senior Innovation Advisor, Mass Bankers Association and Charles Potts, Executive Vice President - Innovation, Independent Community Bankers of America.
Each day will feature innovation-focused learning sessions as well as time for group discussion and networking. Space is limited!

Kevin Tweddle
<p>Kevin Tweddle is Senior Executive Vice President, Innovation for the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA). In this role he provides leadership management and vision for ICBA’s six for profit solution-focused subsidiaries, innovation solutions and member relations departments.</p><p>He is responsible for spearheading ICBA’s efforts to enhance the franchise value of community banks and works with ICBA leadership to develop impactful, value-added solutions that help community banks seize new market opportunities to meet consumers’ evolving financial services’ needs.</p><p>Tweddle’s joined ICBA in 2017 as group executive vice president, innovation and financial technology, where he pioneered ICBA’s innovation strategy, including the successful launch of the ICBA ThinkTECH Accelerator program.</p><p>His extensive financial services experience spans more than 36 years and includes executive roles in sales, marketing, accounting and information technology. Tweddle previously served as president of Bank Intelligence Solutions at Fiserv and was an executive at the Bankers Bank in Atlanta, where he was chief financial officer and chief information officer.</p><p>Well-respected by industry peers, Tweddle also served as president on the Board of Directors of the Association for Financial Technology and as a member and chairman of the Financial Institutions Committee of the Georgia Society of CPAs. Tweddle also serves as a Board member and advisor to several fintech companies serving the community banking industry. He has served community banks for his entire career.</p><p>Tweddle is a certified public accountant and is a graduate of the Colorado Graduate School of Banking. He holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and accounting from Stetson University in Deland, Fla.</p>

Steve Dow
<p>Steve Dow is a financial services veteran turned fintech founder and CEO. Prior to Monit, he served as Head of Corporate Strategy at Webster Bank and later helped lead their Business Banking group. Under Steve’s leadership, Webster became the #1 SBA lender in New England two years in a row. At Webster, Steve observed first-hand the difficulty that banks have serving business customers and likewise the issues SMBs have interfacing with their bank. Monit aims to solve both problems by partnering with banks to deploy its award-winning software, which gives business owners the financial optimization tools they need to prosper and, in turn, provides banks an analytics and targeting platform to serve their business customers more effectively and profitably. Steve also ran Webster’s corporate investment fund and sat on the Board of Payrailz (now a Jack Henry company).</p><p>Mr. Dow has been a speaker at American Banker Small Business Banking Conference, ICBA Live, Janney Community Bank Summit, Startup Boston among other industry events.</p>

Steven Dorval
<p>Steve Dorval is a successful, growth-oriented leader and innovative thinker with proven experience building high-performing teams that deliver mission critical business results. Skilled at conceiving and articulating a compelling vision of new businesses and products to employees, investors, and senior executives. Steve is known to be passionate about leveraging cutting edge technology and changing consumer preferences to radically improve access to the financial services industry and to revolutionize existing customer experiences to deliver better outcomes. He has demonstrated success recruiting, developing, and retaining top tier-talent in both in startup and large company environments.</p><p>Steve is the Founder and President of Dorval Advisory Group where provides innovation consulting services to companies, associations and non-profits. In addition, he leverages his extensive executive experience at both large enterprises and startups to improve startup's go to market strategy for large enterprise prospects.</p><p>Most recently, Steve was the Head of Insurance, Wealth and Asset Management distribution for Powerlytics, a data and analytics startup. Here Steve was a member of the executive team, responsible for executing on engagement with Tier 1 corporate customers to consult on and deliver Powerlytics' data solutions.</p><p>At John Hancock, Steve was President of John Hancock Personal Financial Services LLC and Head of Advice and Innovation. In that role, he was responsible for leading the strategic effort to leverage emerging digital services to enhance John Hancock’s ability to deliver investment advice and financial planning to customers. Simultaneously, Steve built and launched two startup businesses for Hancock (Twine and COIN) serving as CEO for Twine.</p><p>Steve spent more than 16 years at New York Life in their Retirement and Investment divisions. He led the creation and growth of multiple new business and product initiatives, including those related to retirement income, rollover strategy and solution, stable value and DCIO. He led multiple departments over his time and was member of the senior retirement team that sold the business to John Hancock.</p><p>Steve is an Executive in Residence at MassChallenge. He was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Worcester State University and an Executive in Residence for Aviv Growth Partners. He is also an active angel investor and mentor to early-stage startups. </p><p>Steve graduated with a B.A. in English from Providence College and is a CFA charter holder. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society, Inc.</p>
