2017 Summer Internship Program
Identifying and training the next generation is a key priority for many banks. The MBA summer program is a great way to introduce the next generation of bankers to learn about credit or some other area of banking. Member banks that would like to hire an intern through the Association’s Summer Internship Program must complete the bank application
Students entering the credit training internship program are typically juniors that have taken accounting, economics and finance courses and have at least a 3.0 GPA. Some have experience in micro- finance lending to small businesses in their local communities and have experience in originations, underwriting and writing credit memorandums. They bring these valuable skills to their internships and are a huge asset during the summer.
Banks interested in hiring interns for other areas of the bank such as retail banking, marketing, operations, and mortgage lending are also encouraged to apply for an intern through the program. Please submit a job description for the position you are seeking to fill.

“I wanted to let you know that <intern> was one of the most dedicated and hard-working persons I have come across in some time. With support and mentoring from several individuals within the Credit Group, she was able learn and meet the basic requirements of the program and quickly excel to become an important contributor for the Bank over the last two months. We are truly sad to see her go.
From our perspective, the program was a real success and we would very much like to be involved with the program come next summer
Brett Hill, CRC, Senior Vice President | Senior Credit Officer, Radius Bank
“My experience this summer with the Mass Bankers Association internship at StonehamBank was one of the best I have ever had. I am so thankful for the opportunity.”
J. Covitz , Intern
“I never would have been hired without the experience from the MBA internship program.”
